1. Scope and Per-App Terms
These Terms of Use apply to the MedNotify mobile application, related features, content, updates, support, and any connected services made available for the app, including Guardian and family member profile features. Additional notices inside the app, app store listing, privacy policy, or feature-specific screens may also apply.
If any feature-specific terms conflict with these Terms, the feature-specific terms apply only for that feature. All other parts of these Terms remain in effect.
2. Parties and Acceptance
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the app, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and any policies referenced here.
These Terms are between you and the app owner, not the app store provider. The app store provider may still have its own terms that apply to your download, purchase, or use of the app. If you use the app to manage medications for another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms and to enter their information on their behalf.
3. The Licence We Grant You
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, only for personal, lawful, and intended use.
The app is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the app, including software, design, branding, text, graphics, and related materials.
4. What You May Not Do
You agree to use the app responsibly and not to misuse, damage, or interfere with the app, its users, or connected services.
- Do not use the app for illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, modify, or distribute the app without permission.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Do not bypass security, access controls, purchase checks, sync limits, or technical protections.
- Do not upload malicious code, automated abuse, spam, or content that infringes another person's rights.
- Do not add or manage a family member profile for a person unless you have the legal authority to do so as their parent, legal guardian, or authorized caregiver.
5. Technical Requirements
The app may require a compatible device, operating system, internet connection, app store account, notification permissions, and updated app version. Some features, including medication reminders and missed-dose alerts, may not work if your device, system settings, network, or permissions are unavailable or unsupported.
You are responsible for any carrier charges, data charges, device requirements, and third-party service requirements related to your use of the app.
6. Purchases and Subscriptions
The app may offer paid features under MedNotify Plus, subscriptions, free trials, or other in-app purchases. Purchases are handled by the applicable app store or payment provider, and their payment, cancellation, refund, renewal, and billing rules may apply.
Unless stated otherwise in the app store purchase flow, subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled through your app store account settings. If a trial is offered, access may continue as a paid subscription after the trial unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Prices, availability, trial eligibility, taxes, and billing terms may vary by country, store, account, and platform. We do not control app store refund decisions.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of medication information, dose records, family member profiles, notes, or other content that you add to the app. You grant us the limited permission needed to operate, maintain, sync, back up, restore, support, and improve the app and related services.
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and backup of content you enter into the app, including medication names, dosages, schedules, and any family member's date of birth or medication details. You agree not to upload or store content that violates the law, infringes rights, or harms others.
8. Medical Disclaimer
MedNotify is a medication reminder and organization tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Reminder times, dose logs, and any information generated by the app are only as accurate as the schedule and details you or your Guardian enter. Push notifications depend on your device, operating system, and network conditions, and may be delayed, blocked, or not delivered — we do not guarantee that a reminder will always arrive on time or at all.
You are solely responsible for taking medication as directed by a licensed physician or pharmacist. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any medication, and do not rely on the app as a substitute for professional medical advice.
The app is not intended for use in a medical emergency. If you or someone in your care needs urgent help, contact emergency services directly.
9. Third-Party Services
The app may rely on third-party services such as app stores, hosting providers, push notification services (e.g. Apple Push Notification service), analytics or diagnostics tools, purchase validation providers, database services, or web content providers.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, actions, content, or policies.
10. Updates and Support
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time. Updates may be required for continued compatibility, security, performance, or feature access.
We may provide support at our discretion. We do not guarantee that every issue will be resolved or that support will be available at all times.
11. Warranty Disclaimer
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement, including as to the accuracy or timely delivery of medication reminders and notifications.
We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that all data will always remain available. You should keep your own backups and should not rely solely on the app for time-critical medication decisions.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, lost profits, loss of goodwill, service interruption, missed or delayed medication reminders, or device issues arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by that law.
13. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the laws of your country or region. If you live in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, those protections continue to apply.
For users in the EU, UK, or similar regions, you may have statutory rights related to digital content, cancellation, refunds, remedies, or dispute resolution. App store rules may also apply to purchases and refunds.
14. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the app or other users, misuse services, or if continued access is no longer legally or technically possible.
Termination does not affect provisions that should reasonably survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled by the courts or authorities that have lawful jurisdiction.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
